 ARTICLE XVII.  SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Section 1: The Ira L. Myers Scholarship has been established by the Association.

Section 2: Additional scholarships may be established by recommendation of the Executive Board and majority vote of the general membership.

Section 3: The Scholarship Committee shall establish criteria for selection of recipients for approval of the Executive Board. Recipients of the Ira L. Myers Scholarship must be accepted for admission as a candidate for a Master of Public Health or Doctor of Public Health degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham or any of its satellite programs.

Section 4: In the event of the dissolution of the Scholarship Fund or the Association, all monies received for the Scholarship Fund will be transferred to the Alabama Department of Public Health for the purpose of employee education and training.
