ARTICLE
IV. DUES
Section
1: Annual dues for each
individual or agency affiliate member shall be recommended by the
Executive Board and ratified by a majority vote of the membership
present at the annual meeting.
Section
2: Dues which are not paid by
payroll deduction are payable by January 1. Membership shall be
forfeited if dues are not paid by March 31. Application for
reinstatement to membership shall be made in the original manner.
Section
3: For purposes of recruiting
new members, the Executive Board shall be empowered to initiate a
special dues structure for new members during their first year of
membership.
Section
4: Payroll deduction of
membership dues shall be allowable for State of Alabama employees.
Members choosing this option must enroll for a minimum of one year
to cover the full cost of annual dues. Payment by payroll deduction
entitles the member to affiliation in two sections.
Section
5: Enrollment during the last
quarter of any calendar year constitutes membership for the next
calendar year.
